Review of Montagne Jeunesse Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque – #MJPeelOffs

Hey guys! I’m back!

In this post I’ll be reviewing Montagne Juenesse’s Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque! I also got this for free in my Influenster Refresh Voxbox, but as in the previous post, all of these opinions are my own. So let’s get started!

You can visit the Montagne Juenesse’s website here, their Facebook page here, their Twitter here, and their Pintrest page here.

Black Seaweed Peel Off Masque

To be honest, I’ve never head of Montagne Jeunesse before or any of these products, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to think when I opened this up. The packet was filled with this sticky, black, viscous liquid and right away, I was scared to put that on my face. I was really worried that the black color would stain my face and I’d have to walk around looking like a crazy person. But that, fortunately, didn’t happen. The masked smelled really good so I slathered it on. The package said to wait about 30 minutes before you peeled it off, so I did. After 30 minutes, a good majority of the mask had dried and was already starting to peel off. There was one section on the cheek that was still a little wet so I waited a little bit longer.

Peeling it off was the best part! Most of the mask came off in one piece. It was a really strange sensation. I’ve never done a mask like this before and I wasn’t used to the feeling. It was pretty cool though. Afterwards, my skin felt very soft and I have somewhat oily skin and I felt like this sucked up all the oil, leaving my face squeaky clean. I was really happy with the result until about an hour later. My face was really dry and started peeling a little bit in certain spots, mostly on my forehead. I think that’s just because I need to exfoliate more and it is winter, so my dry skin could be attributed to that, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

My overall rating is 7/10. It was really fun to put on and peel off and smelled great. It left my skin relatively soft, but also may have induced some dry skin to start peeling. I would probably try another mask, but I don’t think I would actively seek it out to try it.

Thanks for reading and hope you found this review helpful!
